Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 23, 2025
Playstack is a simple tool that helps you turn a list of songs into a YouTube Music playlist. We are committed to your privacy. This policy explains exactly what we do — and don't do — with your data.
We store nothing
Playstack does not store, log, or retain any personal information. This includes:
- Your Google account details
- Your OAuth access tokens
- The songs you enter
- The playlists you create
Your Google OAuth access token is held in a short-lived, HTTP-only session cookie that expires within 1 hour and never leaves your browser session. No data is written to any database or third-party service.
What we access
When you connect with Google, Playstack requests access to your YouTube account solely to create playlists on your behalf. We use the YouTube Data API v3 for this purpose. We do not read your existing playlists, watch history, or any other account data.
Third-party services
Playstack uses the following third-party APIs:
- Google OAuth 2.0 — for authentication
- YouTube Data API v3 — to search songs and create playlists
These services are governed by Google's own privacy policies.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie (yt_token) to keep you signed in during your session. It is HTTP-only, expires after 1 hour, and is deleted when you click "Switch account." We use no tracking cookies, analytics, or advertising cookies.
